Ready to advance to the varsity team? The Sniper Team Series is calling.
The Sniper Team Series (STS) brings together a curated group of premier team sniper competitions under a unified season framework built around authentic field challenges, uncertainty, and adaptive problem-solving. While each STS-recognized match retains its own identity, terrain, and regional character, all share a common emphasis on fieldcraft, target detection, teamwork, and decision-making under imperfect conditions. These events draw inspiration from military sniper training principles while remaining fully open to civilian competitors who want to test themselves in realistic, demanding environments.
Rather than standardized performance stages or rehearsed solutions, STS matches prioritize natural terrain, blind or semi-blind engagements, and fog-of-war style problem sets that require competitors to observe, plan, communicate, and adapt in real time. Success across the series is not defined by a single perfect weekend, but by consistent performance across varied locations and match styles. The STS Cup recognizes teams who demonstrate resilience, adaptability, and precision throughout an entire season of challenging, high-intensity competition.
What to Expect at an STS Match
The Sniper Team Series is built around a philosophy of how team sniper would test skill under realistic, imperfect conditions.
While each STS-recognized match maintains its own identity, terrain, and regional character, all adhere to a common standard of difficulty, realism, and competitive integrity.
Competitors should expect:
-
Field-driven challenges over artificial stage design
Natural terrain, movement, observation, and positional problem-solving take priority over contrived props or rehearsed solutions. -
Blind or semi-blind engagements
Target detection, identification, and engagement are core skills. Information is intentionally limited to force real decision-making. -
Uncertainty and fog-of-war style problem sets
Matches are designed with incomplete information, dynamic variables, and consequences for poor decisions. -
Team-based execution under stress
Communication, role discipline, and coordination matter as much as marksmanship—especially as fatigue and pressure accumulate. -
Sustained mental and physical demand
Stress is cumulative across stages and days, rewarding resilience, discipline, and adaptability.
While these matches draw heavily from military sniper training principles, no military background is required. STS events are open to civilian competitors prepared to operate independently, manage stress, and accept that discomfort and failure are part of the process.
Success in the Sniper Team Series is not defined by a single perfect performance, but by consistent execution across varied terrain, match styles, and conditions throughout the season.
They are not designed to be easy—and that is exactly the point.

The Sniper Team Series (STS) brings together some of the nation’s top team sniper competitions, including Chaos Concepts, Legion, Coleman Creek, Steel City, Ben Franklin Range, Shadow Legacy PAST, and Kinetic Comps. Each match contributes its strengths while retaining autonomy, ensuring variety and fairness across the series. The series is guided by a Board of Directors made up of experienced match directors, providing leadership and long-term vision.
